Service
Since 2014, I have actively contributed to various committees and initiatives within my department, college, and university. My roles include serving on the Department Reading Endorsement Committee, advising the Student Council for Exceptional Children FAU Chapter, and co-administering the ESE Facebook page. I have also been involved in planning significant events like the Education for Advocacy Event, which highlighted the importance of political advocacy and attracted notable speakers and wide attention.
At the college level, I have served as Secretary and Archivist for the FAU Faculty Assembly for the College of Education and represented the ESE department in the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee and the AACTE NIC Special Interest Group.
Professionally, I am an active member of the Council for Exceptional Children and the Council for Learning Disabilities, contributing to various committees and reviewing conference proposals. Additionally, I serve on the editorial boards of several journals such as Intervention in School and Clinic, and review grants for the U.S. Department of Education.
